The festival is thrilled to be featured in Italian Men's Vogue (L'Uomo Vogue). Here's an excerpt:
The new handheld cameras and online festivals have made filmmaking more spontaneous, user-generated and democratic. This is not to say that anyone can become a new Fellini. "Last year we had 1000 submissions, but only 25 passed the test," says Carlton Evans, founder of the DFF. "These are, however, 25 quality films that otherwise would never have seen the light." In the words of [Alex] Kalman "it's still cinema we're talking about: you have to be damn good."
